Mosaics
The first sketch has to be simple but can also be modified
according to the demands presented during the working
process: Designing the model sketch in a reduced scale,
realization of the cardboard in the realistic measure.
The second action is laying, using the direct technique,
when the mosaic pieces are applied to the support surface.
The gluing coat is added step by step, with the progression
of the composition. The final action is plastering the
interspaces between the mosaic pieces.
Glass and the colored glass technique
Also in that case we need to plan in advance the final
outcome, and for this, it is preferred to create an initial
project with a reduced scale design, colored and detailed.
The design is the base from which created the "cartone"
scale. From the "cartone" we can create a drawing
over a special transparent paper the enables to transport
the contour lines of each piece, aimed to be cut from
the glass. The final action is assembling the glass templates
together, glued and colored.
Materials in use- paper, colors, glass, glue e silicone.
